Coming Soon

In 1928, seventeen-year-old Francisco Klein leaves behind everything he has ever known after a brutal antisemitic attack forces him to flee his home in Romania. Alone and determined to reunite with his older brother in Chile, he embarks on an extraordinary journey across Europe and South America in search of safety, family, and a place to belong.

Along the way, Francisco encounters hardship, loneliness, and uncertainty, but he also discovers the extraordinary kindness of strangers who help shape the man he becomes. Through perseverance, compassion, and an unwavering belief in hope, he builds a new life while never losing sight of the family he longs to reunite.

Inspired by true events, From Darkness to Light is a moving historical novel about resilience, immigration, and the enduring power of family. It reminds us that even in life's darkest moments, hope can light the way.

The Theatre Years

Before I became a novelist, I spent many years bringing stories to life on stage. As co-founder and Artistic Director of Labyrinth Stage Productions, I co-wrote, and produced original plays that explored family, identity, and the human experience.

There is something magical about sitting in a theatre and watching an audience laugh, cry, and connect with a story. Those years taught me the importance of creating authentic characters, writing meaningful dialogue, and telling stories that resonate long after the curtain falls.

Although my focus has since shifted to historical fiction, the lessons I learned in theatre continue to shape every novel I write.

They also influence the way I coach aspiring writers—helping them strengthen their stories while remaining true to their own unique voice.

Labyrinth Stage Productions will always hold a special place in my creative journey. If you'd like to learn more about our productions, see photos, explore our history, read media, I invite you to visit our Facebook page.
